Grand Lodge employees carried on Masonry’s tradition of community service and support of education Saturday, Sept. 6 at nearby El Dorado Elementary School in San Francisco.

A team of 14 (11 employees and three family members) joined other community volunteers for a restoration project at the public school. Volunteers painted brightly colored murals in the hallways, planted gardens, and cleaned and repainted the playground.

This was the first project organized by the staff-led Grand Lodge Community Service Committee, which was established in June as a way to extend Masonry’s commitment to community through volunteerism. Community service projects are being planned by Grand Lodge staff in Covina and Union City.
