Temecula Catalina Island Lodge No. 524 in Temecula raised Charles Miller at its 14th Annual Outdoor Degree on July 12. The ceremony took place at Liefer Ranch, owned by the son of Jack Liefer, who was instrumental in bringing about Temecula Masonry and the outdoor degree.
Earlier this year, Mohave Valley Lodge #68 in Bullhead City, Arizona invited the bretheren of the Desert Masonic Centers in the Coachella Valley area of Southern California to have a third degree in their lodge. So the brothers of Coachella Lodge #476, Palm Springs Lodge #693 and Oasis of Mara Lodge #735 of Twenty-Nine Palms prepared for a fun April 12th weekend in Bullhead City.
At the Annual Outdoor Degree in Temecula, the Masonic Travelers had the opportunity to interview Past Master Lowell Benton. Past Master Lowell Benton was one of the original signers of the 1977 California Grand Lodge resolution authorizing outdoor degrees.
